Brett Stakelin is a photographer and musician in Denver, Colorado.
Brett spent ten years as the in-house photographer for Regis University, creating imagery for the entire institution, from executive portraits, to athletics promotions, to camping trips, and everything in-between. He now specializes in dog portraits and corporate headshots.
As a songwriter, he captures the essence of the West in his music. His soulful country-leaning folk and Americana tunes paint pictures of the first snowfall, forgotten towns, and expansive mountain valleys, enveloping listeners in the evocative essence of the region.
A versatile multi-instrumentalist, he has shared the stage with Poet’s Row, Anthony Ruptak, Gun Street Ghost, and more. His solo work weaves a vivid tapestry of life's stories: perfect accompaniments for serene evenings, best enjoyed with a nip of whiskey.
When he's not out taking photos of people and things, he's usually sharpening his skills as an amateur handyman, landscaper, house painter, and builder-of-things. Other hobbies include biking, hiking, and telemark skiing.
He lives in Denver with his wife Lauren, daughter Betsy, and pup Emmylou.
